Sudah diprediksi sebelumnya bahwa vokalis dan pencipta lagu Taylor Swift akan sukses dalam ajang MTV Video Music Awards 2015.Pada ajang MTV Video Music Awards 2015 yg digelar di Microsoft Theater, Los Angeles, Amerika Serikat pada Minggu 30 Agustus waktu setempat,Taylor Swift sudah meraih 3 penghargaan untuk Video of the Year, Best Female Video dan Best Pop Video.

Pada acara yang dipandu aktris Miley Cyrus itu,video Taylor Swift ft. Kendrick Lamar bertajuk “Bad Blood” meraih penghargaan sebagai Video of the Year.Taylor Swift melalui video “Blank Space” menyabet 2 piala sekaligus untuk kategori Best Female Video dan Best Pop Video.

Taylor Swift feat Kendrick Lamar melalui Bad Blood juga mendapat penghargaan sebagai Best Collaboraction.

Untuk kategori Best Rock Video,penghargaan terbaik diraih Fall Out Boy - Uma Thurman.untuk kategori ini Fall Out Boy berhasil menyingkirkan Hozier – “Take Me To Church”, Florence + the Machine – “Ship To Wreck”,dan Walk the Moon - “Shut Up and Dance” .

Sementara itu artis yg mengkritik keras Taylor Swift ketika meraih paling banyak nominasi VMA 2015,yakni Nicki Minaj dengan videonya berjudul "Anaconda"berhasil menjadi pemenang untuk kategori Best Hip-Hop Video.
